Our Mission

Our mission is to empower all students with the skills necessary to reach their highest level of ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Louisiana Top Gains School Again!

St. James High School has earned Top Gains Status from the Department of Education for the 2016-2017 school year.  This distinction marks the third time in the past six years that SJH has earned this honor.  Our School SPS rose to 96.7, marking the sixth consecutive year of growth.  Congratulations to all our students, faculty, and staff for the continued growth of St. James High School

Najiah Harry and Kelis Brown both competed in the Poetry Out Loud Regional Competition in Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, January 26, 2018. These young ladies were not only representing St. James High School, but St. James Parish as a whole, being the only two competitors from the district. Najiah Harry came in third place and will now advance to compete in the State Competition that will also be hosted in Baton Rouge on March 3rd.

St. James Stadium Sideline Policy

As we transition to the new Wildcat Stadium, I would like to ask for cooperation regarding the policy forSideline passes.   It is imperative that our players and coaches have as little distraction as possible before and during each game.   And SJH is held accountable by the LHSAA for providing a safe and secure environment for the teams and coaches.  Only those individuals with sideline passes are permitted inside the fence in the track area, and only those individuals with team responsibilities are permitted in the designated team area of the sideline.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation and for making SJH Football a huge success.

Principal, St. James High School
