The Fathers Club was organized after WWII, 1946-47. Mr. Ernest "Beck" Becnel may have been the first President. It disbanded around 1965, Paul Melancon Jr had been elected Secretary.

Ronald "Bae Bae" Scioneaux, who was part of the first St. James High School 12 year class to graduate organized the St. James High School Booster Club in 1970. At that time Paul Melancon gave Scioneaux the copies of the Fathers Club minutes that were handed down to him. Scioneaux kept them for some years, then it was suggested that they be donated to the Archives at Nicholls State University, which he did.

LJ Waguespack; Billy Cannon, Ronald "Bae Bae" Scioneaux

Ronald "Bebe" Scioneaux has been an avid supporter of St. James High School and its athletic program since his graduation. He was a huge fan throughout the fifties and sixties, supporting the football team and in particular his brother Donovan, a player on Wildcat championship teams. In 1969 he assumed the role of game announcer (which he continued through 1981), and in 1970 along with John Boughton and L.J. Waguespack formed the St. James Booster Club. He served as the first Chief Quarterback of that organization, and served again in the same role from 2001-2003. For years he was author of a newspaper column "Rambling with the Wildcats". He also spearheaded the fundraising effort to replace the old "clock style" scoreboard at the football field. He, along with his wife Hazel, also spearheaded the formation of the Band Booster Club. HIs favorite saying - "You can't hide Wildcat Pride". In addition to all these accomplishments, he has been a constant fixture at St. James games and events, and performed untold numbers of errands and projects for the administration and coaching staff.
